This summer was spent with people I love, in new countries that I now love, at festivals that have changed my life. There is so much world to see. There are so many more people to meet. There are so many more experiences to enjoy. And if you stay behind, you’ll be left behind, because no one will pick you up and carry you through their own journey.
Don’t settle. In relationships, yourself or your life. All aspects must be pushed to the limits and tried and tested until you’re completely satisfied, and then you want more. Always want more. Never finish achieving success. Always search for new opportunity, and when opportunity begins to dwindle, create opportunity for yourself. Scare yourself. Bewilder yourself, love yourself, and push yourself.
Never let another person allow you to think you’ve reached your full potential. There is no such thing as full potential. Once you think you’ve reached as high as possible, stretch further, it’s amazing what you’ll be able to accomplish.
Never let someone stop you from dropping everything and moving to the other side of the world on a whim. If that’s what you want to do, go fucking do it. Don’t create a life of years collected in the same category. Branch out, reach out, explore, meet, and discover yourself. Discover the world and everything it has to offer. Remember if we weren’t here, nature would go on living. Remember that when you’re taking from it, you’re borrowing. You’re here to experience and fulfill passions and love, don’t destroy, enjoy.
If you feel lost, get a map, doesn’t matter what city, doesn’t matter if it is a blank page of paper, sit with your map and discuss where you want to go, with yourself; who you want to become, who you already are, and who you left behind. Write a list of accomplishments you want to achieve with time frames, and then do everything in your power to make them happen, and always make one of them seem impossible. Believe with unwavering faith that these accomplishments will come to life, and in time they will.
Sometimes you just need one of these pep talks. Sometimes you just need to stop and talk to yourself and realize everything you’ve ever wanted is possible.
And sometimes you just have to listen to Language and it will all start to make sense again.
Love,
Tabitha
