I hope I have balls as big as HER one day

I always go through these stages where I get lost in the frantic expectations of the life around me and how I'm supposed to live it. I forget to really dig deep and listen to myself and figure out where I want to propel myself as an adult.

An adult? What does that even mean.

This life is supposed to be about what you love. It’s supposed to create a reality that lets your spirit run free and explore absolute bliss. Following this feeling of bliss is what will allow yourself to fully encompass what you’re meant for.

There’s no hope in searching for a sign, asking for a clue, or listening for the answer. You have to feel it.

That small intuitive feeling you get sometimes is what you must grasp and run with. That small feeling is the absolute guidance you need to create the most epic life you could ever dream of.

These three have been an inspiration to me since I first heard their vocal edit rendition of “Breathe” by Skrillex in 2011. Their voices were what compelled me to search for more music from this curious sounding DJ group, Krewella. I know there is a ton of negative energy around these three at the moment, who’s producing what, where is Rainman, do they even sing live, are they just here to please the masses? Their music has always been special to me for the emotion portrayed in their songs and their simplistic idea of being whoever the fuck you want to be–this is what I need to remember.

June 8, marked the 4 year anniversary of when these three brilliant musicians dropped everything in their lives to devote all of themselves to Krewella. Their jobs, school, their lives, everything had been deleted and replaced with the utmost dedication and passion for their music. This is what I admire most about Krewella and this is what I have to remember for myself.

Nothing great has ever been created from mediocrity. Being engulfed in passion, in life, in what your intuitive feeling is telling you; that is how greatness is made. Not giving a fuck what other people expect or think; being able to listen only to you and those who wish to see you succeed. That is how you create your bliss, your passion, and your purpose.

One of the most liberating and inspiring experiences of my life was seeing Krewella play at EDC Vegas in 2013. Every single detail about that set moved me. Their voices, the bass lines, the fireworks, the crowd; everything. I’ve never witnessed two females be more fully immersed something so full of energy and purpose. When those two grab microphones you just know it’s what they’re meant for. Being female in this industry is something that shouldn’t be a topic of discussion, but it is. These two give such a strong female voice to those battling to receive the respect and equality that they deserve. So Jahan & Yasmine, thank you.

Love,

Tabitha

This video shows the three explaining where they were four years ago and how they feel about their decision to dedicate 100% of their lives to Krewella.

Gosh I’m glad they did.
