Sitting here in my dark room with my ears ringing louder than any speaker ever could, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Tonight was a night to remember for the rest of my life. Tonight I interviewed a very famous DJ for the first time. And it went flawless. Have you ever met someone and felt completely comfortable around them instantly? This was what it was like with Max Graham. As soon as Sana and I sat down to speak with him, it felt we had been on a first name basis for years. With only 40 minutes before he takes the stage for his 5 hour open to close set, we begin the questions. Everything flows seamlessly, each question simply winding into the next as if it were working it’s magic on it’s own. Sana and I both on the same wavelength, finishing each other’s ideas and being able to connect with this legend on such a real level. We finish up, tell each other we could sit and chat for hours, but it’s time to take the decks.
Max takes the stage with a minimal amount of people in the club but this doesn’t hinder him whatsoever. He drops into a simplistic beat that you can tell he can feel. He’s warming us up for the journey he has planned for us. Slowly the club becomes extremely packed.
Through twists and turns and ups and downs Max took out each one of our souls and let them feel the music he was playing before carefully placing them back inside us. There was a moment I was sitting there, motionless behind him, watching intently. And I could feel the beat running through my blood, through my veins and into my heart. The loud thumping in my ears and head felt like euphoria of sensations all comforting me and telling me this is where I belong.
5 hours later we finish the evening with one of the greatest Max Graham remixes, Filo & Peri Feat. Audrey Gallagher - This Night. The sight of everyone in the crowd, after all this time, still belting out every word was phenomenal. Being part of something so magical makes me so happy to be alive. There is so much more to life than we know, and this music is what helps me realize that. There is so much more to be learned, to be felt, to be shared. And this music is what brings like-minded people together to create an unconditional bond. All I can say is thank you Max Graham. Tonight you showed me how to trust, let go, and follow you down the rabbit hole with no inhibitions. Let the music guide you, let the sounds carry you, let the DJ lead you, and forever let the feeling possess you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkVa79EQUVw
